            The DBLaTeX project is a separate project from the DocBook project. They provide a command-line
dblatex tool that you can use as an
              alternative to generating and processing XSL-FO output
              from the DocBook Project FO stylesheets.
              dblatex is not yet complete, but it is
              in active development and is already mature enough to
              produce quality PDF output from a wide range of DocBook
              document instances.
